SNOWBOARDING (8yrs-adults) FOR FIRST TIMERS / Level 0 - Green
You are about to start snowboarding. In this group course, we will learn the basic skills of snowboarding and proper moves right from the beginning. We'll practice moving on flat terrain with the snowboard, how to slide with the board, how to fall safely, and how to get up independently. We'll practice controlling the speed and learn how to make turns. The course takes place in the Leevilandia area on flat terrain and easy parts of the slopes. We'll learn slope safety rules and how to use e.g. magic carpet lift.
The course is suitable for adults and children aged 8 and up. Instruction is provided in both Finnish and English.

This program can be purchased up to 24 hours before the course begins.
For the course, you will need equipment and a Leevilandia area ticket.

TUE & FRI at 4 - 5.30 pm (weeks 49/'25 - 1/2026)
TUE at 4 - 5.30 pm (weeks 2 - 14/2026), TUE at 2 - 3.30 pm (weeks 15 -17/'26)
THU at 4 - 5.30 pm (weeks 7 - 11/2026)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, on snow at the ski school blue meeting point signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
Note:
- You are responsible for having the equipment, ski pass, or area ticket ready at the starting point of the lesson at the agreed time.
- An already purchased product cannot be changed or rescheduled.
- Levi Ski School has the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants.
- During lessons, a valid ski pass or a Leevilandia area ticket is required, depending on skill level. This course is held in Leevilandia (an area ticket is needed).
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes.
- Equipment needs to be ready / rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes) for equipment rental. Rent equipment from the webstore in advance. We recommend a snowboard set and a helmet.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
