WERNERI SKI SCHOOLS WITH SKIS
Werneri Ski School is a Finnish nationwide ski school program for children. You can find Werneri in over 30 Finnish ski resorts. Werneri's courses at Levi are bilingual (Finnish & English). There are 3 skiing levels available in Werneri Ski School at Levi (Snow, Speed 1, and Speed 2). The 2-day course is 1,5 hours daily on 2 consecutive days. One-time lesson lasts 1.5 hours.
LEVEL 0 GREEN - SNOW WERNERI – FIRST TIMERS
You have no skiing experience. Children will become familiar with the equipment through play and shared activities. The learning environments include flat terrain, the Leevilandia magic carpet lifts, and its easy slopes. We will practice the basic skills of skiing: balance, using the lift, slope etiquette, and safety rules. Children will learn to move and glide on skis independently, how to fall safely, and how to get back up. We’ll also work on controlling speed using the snowplough, stopping in a controlled manner, and making snowplough turns.
MINI SNOW WERNERI (5- 6 yrs) – FIRST TIMERS
coming to ski for the first time and can be in a group without parental guidance
Alternatively, 40 min private tuition is available for children aged 4-6. For children under the age of 5, we recommend private tuition.
SNOW WERNERI (7-11 yrs.) – FIRST TIMERS
For the course, you’ll need: alpine skis, ski boots, a helmet, and a Leevilandia area pass. The need for a Leevilandia area or ski pass does not apply to under-6-year-olds wearing helmets during ski school lessons
LEVEL 1 BLUE - SPEED 1 WERNERI (5-11 yrs) – LOW INTERMEDIATE
Suitable for children who can ski using a snowplough on easy (blue or children’s) slopes, and who can already somewhat manage turning, speed control, and stopping. We will begin by revising these basic skills on the magic carpet and button lifts in Leevilandia. We will practise smoother turns, improve confidence and skill, and gradually guide skiing towards parallel skis. Children will also learn to use different types of lifts and become familiar with more challenging terrain.
LEVEL 2 RED - SPEED 2 WERNERI (5-11 yrs) – INTERMEDIATE
Suitable for children who can ski confidently on intermediate (red) slopes (turns using a snowplough / already using parallel skis on easier slopes). The use of T-bar and/or chairlifts is already familiar. We will practise skiing with parallel skis, turns with varying radii, and building confidence on more demanding slopes. We will develop skiing skills through a variety of exercises, both on the slopes and in easy terrain parks. Slope and park safety rules will also be introduced.
For the level 1 and 2 courses, you’ll need: an alpine ski set, a helmet, and a valid ski pass. The need for a Leevilandia area or ski pass does not apply to under-6-year-olds wearing helmets during ski school lessons.

Duration: 2 x 1,5 hours
Group: min 2 people/skill level
Price: 110,00 € /person (not including equipment hire or ski pass)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, by the ski school colored skill level signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.

WEEKS 53, 1, and 8 MON-TUE at 11 am - 12.30 pm
WEEK 8/9 SUN 28.2. - MON at 12 - 1.30 pm
WEEK 12 (Easter) FRI-SAT at 12-1.30 pm
NOTE
- You are responsible for being at the lesson meeting point at the agreed time, with your equipment and lift pass or area pass ready.
- To ensure the smooth running of group lessons, participants arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot join the lesson. No refund will be given in such cases.
- Purchased products cannot be exchanged or rescheduled.
- The ski school reserves the right to combine groups or offer alternative instruction or schedules if the minimum number of participants is not met.
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or a lift pass.
- During lessons, a valid ski pass or an area ticket is required, depending on skill level. (does not apply to under-6-year-olds wearing helmets).
- For the first lesson at first timer/beginner-green-level 0, the area ticket is required for the duration of the lesson. For the following days, either the area ticket or a valid ski pass is required, depending on the progress of the skill level. For the levels 1 blue and 2 red, a normal ski pass is required.
- Please note that ski passes and the area ticket include the use of the ski bus.
- Equipment must be ready / rented and properly adjusted before the lesson begins. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes - 1 hour) for equipment rental. Helmet use is mandatory during lessons. Purchase the equipment hire from the webstore in advance.
