WERNERI SKI SCHOOLS WITH SKIS
Werneri Ski School is a Finnish nationwide ski school program for children. You can find Werneri in over 30 Finnish ski resorts. Werneri's courses at Levi are bilingual (Finnish & English). There are 3 skiing levels available in Werneri Ski School at Levi (Snow, Speed 1, and Speed 2). The 2-day course is 1,5 hours daily on 2 consecutive days.
LEVEL 0 GREEN - SNOW WERNERI – FIRST TIMERS
You have no skiing experience. Children will become familiar with the equipment through play and shared activities. The learning environments include flat terrain, the Leevilandia magic carpet lifts, and its easy slopes. We will practice the basic skills of skiing: balance, using the lift, slope etiquette, and safety rules. Children will learn to move and glide on skis independently, how to fall safely, and how to get back up. We’ll also work on controlling speed using the snowplough, stopping in a controlled manner, and making snowplough turns.
For the course, you’ll need: alpine skis, ski boots, a helmet, and a Leevilandia area pass. The need for a Leevilandia area or ski pass does not apply to under-6-year-olds wearing helmets during ski school lessons.
MINI SNOW WERNERI (5- 6 yrs) – FIRST TIMERS

Alternatively, 40 min private tuition is available for children aged 4-6. For children under the age of 5, we recommend private tuition.
SNOW WERNERI (7-11 yrs.) – FIRST TIMERS
LEVEL 1 BLUE - SPEED 1 WERNERI (5-11 yrs) – LOW INTERMEDIATE
You can ski by making snowplough turns and controlling the speed on easy (blue/beginner) slopes. We start with a review of the basic skills. The course focuses on: smoother turns, improved confidence and control, progressing toward skiing with parallel skis, learning to use different types of ski lifts, and exploring more challenging terrain
LEVEL 2 RED - SPEED WERNERI 2 (5-11 yrs) – INTERMEDIATE
You can confidently ski on (blue/red intermediate) slopes using snowplough turns, or already ski with parallel skis on easier slopes and use the t-bar or chair lifts. In this course, we will practice e.g, skiing with parallel skis, work on turns with varying radii, build confidence and skill on more demanding slopes, improve ski technique through diverse exercises both on slopes and in beginner-friendly terrain parks, and learn the rules of slope and park skiing.
For the course, you’ll need: an alpine ski set, a helmet, and a valid ski pass. The need for a Leevilandia area or ski pass does not apply to under-6-year-olds wearing helmets during ski school lessons.

Schedule:
WEEKS: 52/'25, 1 and 8 / 2026 MON-TUE at 11 am -1.30 pm
WEEKS 9, 10, 11, MON-TUE at 12-1.30 pm
WEEK 14 (Easter) SAT-SUN at 12-1.30 pm
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, by the ski school colored skill level signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
NOTE
- You are responsible for having the equipment, ski pass, or area pass ready at the starting point of the lesson at the agreed time.
- An already purchased product cannot be changed or rescheduled.
- During lessons, a valid ski pass or a Leevilandia area ticket is required, depending on skill level. (does not apply for under 6-year-olds wearing helmets).
- For the first lesson at first timer/beginner-green-level 0, a Leevilandia area ticket is required for the duration of the lesson. For the following days, either a Leevilandia area ticket or a valid ski pass is required, depending on the progress of the skill level.
- Note that the Leevilandia area ticket includes use of the Ski Bus.
- For the levels 1 blue and 2 red, a normal ski pass is required.
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes.
- Equipment needs to be ready / rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes) for equipment rental. Purchase the equipment hire from the webstore in advance.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
