WERNERI SKI SCHOOLS WITH SKIS
Werneri Ski School is a Finnish nationwide ski school program for children. You can find Werneri in over 30 Finnish ski resorts. Werneri courses at Levi are bilingual (Finnish & English). There are 3 skiing levels available in Werneri Ski School at Levi (Snow, Speed 1, and Speed 2). 2 days course is 1,5 hours daily on 2 consecutive days. One time lesson last 1,5 hours.
SNOW WERNERI– FIRST TIMERS/green
You have no skiing experience. First, we get to know the equipment, and how to fall down safely and get up independently. Together we will have fun by learning the basics of skiing: balance skills, gliding on skis, how to stop and make snow plough turns, and how to control the speed. Children will become familiar with beginner ski lifts and slope safety & rules.
MINI SNOW WERNERI (5-6yrs) - FIRST TIMERS/green
coming to ski for the first time and can be in a group without parental guidance
Alternatively, 40 min private tuition is available for children aged 4-6. For children under the age of 5, we recommend private tuition.
SNOW WERNERI (7-11 yrs.) – FIRST TIMERS/green
SPEED 1 WERNERI (5-11 yrs) - BEGINNERS/blue
You can ski by making snow plough turns and controlling the speed on easy (blue/beginner) slopes. First, we refresh the beginner skills in the Leevilandias area. We will start to improve our skiing skills: better balance, turning techniques: how to do parallel turns, and how to ski more controlled way. We will become familiar with different types of lifts, slope safety, and skiing on more demanding slopes.
SPEED WERNERI 2 (5-11 yrs) – LOW INTERMEDIATE/INTERMEDIATE/red
You can ski with good speed on all types of slopes with snow plough turns or already in a parallel way on easy slopes. We will develop a parallel turning technique and build confidence at higher speeds and on steeper slopes. We will learn to adapt our technique to a wider variety of slopes.

Schedule:
WEEKS: 52 - 1, and 8/2025 MON-TUE at 10-11.30 am
WEEKS 9, 10, 11, MON-TUE at 12-1.30 pm
WEEK 16 Easter FRI-SAT at 10-11.30 am (Snow Werneri and Speed 1 levels)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point slope 8.4, on snow by the ski school "meeting point" flag. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
NOTE:
- Please make sure you are on time and at the right meeting place.
- For your information, we cannot promise a change of teaching place or a transfer of already purchased time.
- Levi Ski School has the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants.
- Please note that for all ski lifts and in Leevilandia you need a valid ski pass or Leevilandia area ticket. Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes.
- Equipment needs to be ready/rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time for equipment rental. Rent equipment from the webstore in advance.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
