Description
Snowboarding Level 0 – Green: Learn to Snowboard (from 12 yrs - adults)
You have no previous snowboarding experience. This course teaches the fundamentals of snowboarding in a safe and supportive environment, starting on flat terrain and becoming familiar with the equipment before progressing towards independent riding skills on easy beginner slopes.
During the course, we aim to practice, among other things:
• Handling and controlling the snowboard and slope rules
• Safe falling and getting up
• Sliding, stopping, and controlling speed
• Turns on toe and heel edges
• Using lifts (magic carpet and button lifts)
Training takes place on the flat areas of Leevilandia and the south slope, as well as on easy slopes suitable for first-timers.
For the course, you will need equipment, and for the first lesson, an area ticket. For the following days, you’ll need either an area ticket or a ski pass, depending on your group’s progress.
* Each group's learning path and pace are tailored to the participants' needs, progress, and prevailing conditions.
The primary language of instruction is English. If necessary, we will also guide in Finnish.

The office is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm at Zero Point, and from 9 am - 4.30 pm at South Point
Location: South Point, South Slopes (Tievantie 2) 99130 Levi
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, by the ski school meeting signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.

Note
Ski School:
- You are responsible for arriving at the lesson meeting point at the scheduled time with your equipment and ski pass or area ticket ready.
- Purchased ski school product cannot be changed or rescheduled.
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes or Leevilandia area tickets.
- Levi Ski School reserves the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants.
- To ensure the smooth running of group lessons, participants arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot join the lesson. No refund will be given in such cases.
- For the lesson, you will need a ski pass or a Leevilandia area pass according to your skill level. (This does not apply to helmet-wearing children under 6 years old during instruction.)

Ski passes:
- During lessons, a valid ski pass or a Leevilandia area ticket is required, depending on skill level.
- For the first lesson at first timer-green-level 0, a Leevilandia area ticket is required for the duration of the lesson. For the following days, either a Leevilandia area ticket or a valid ski pass is required, depending on the progress of the skill level.
- Note that the ski passes and Leevilandia area ticket include use of the Ski Bus.
- Passes can be purchased from the webstore, ticket machines, and ski pass offices. Leevilandia area tickets are also available from the Ski School and rental shop service desks.
Equipment rental:
- Equipment must be ready/rented and properly adjusted before the lesson begins. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes -1 hour) for equipment rental. Purchase the equipment hire from the webstore in advance. Helmet use is mandatory during the lesson time.
- Rentals are located in South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
