Description
Skiing Level 0 – Green: Learn to ski
Are you completely new to skiing? This course is designed just for you! The goal is to introduce you to the basics of skiing safely.
During the course, we will practice:
• How to handle ski equipment and learn slope safety (etiquette) rules
• How to fall safely and get back up
• How to glide, stop, control the speed, and make turns
• How to use beginner-friendly ski lifts (magic carpet and button lifts)
Training takes place in Leevilandia and on the gentle slopes of the South Slope area, which are ideal for first-timers and beginners.
Goal: Learn to ski independently on easy (blue) slopes with control and confidence – and enjoy the thrill of learning something new!
Skill level requirement: First timer
Duration: 3 days, 3 x 1.5 hours
3-day Group courses are divided by age, 7–11 years children, and youth (12+yrs ) – adults, and by skill level.
Courses start on Mondays and run for three consecutive days, 1.5 hours per day.
Thursday - Saturday course is only available for first-timer level 0 during weeks 50/2025 - 3/2026
3-day (Mon-Wed) groups have three starting/skill levels: check the skill levels
Level 0 Green - First-timer/beginner
Level 1 Blue - Low Intermediate
Level 3 Red - Intermediate
* Each group’s learning path and pace are adapted to the participants’ needs and progression.
The primary language of instruction is English.
For the first lesson, you’ll need a Leevilandia area ticket. For the following days, you’ll need either an area ticket or a ski pass, depending on your group’s progress.
During weeks 8 - 11/2026, there are 2-day Werneri skiing courses for children.

Schedule group green - first-timers:
7- 11 yrs children (during weeks 49/'25 - 8/2026 and 12 yrs - adults (during weeks 49/'25 - 10/2026)
- MON-WED at 2 - 3.30 pm (weeks 49/2025 - 7/2026) *** except. Week 52 WED 24 DEC at 12 - 1.30 pm
- THU-SAT at 2 - 3.30 pm (weeks 50'2025 - 3/2026)
- MON-WED at 12 -1.30 pm (weeks 8 -10/2026)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, on snow at the ski school skill level color signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
Note:
- You are responsible for having the equipment, ski pass, or area ticket ready at the starting point of the lesson at the agreed time.
- An already purchased product cannot be changed or rescheduled.
- Levi Ski School has the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants. e.g., with two participants, the course is shortened to 2 days
- During lessons, a valid ski pass or a Leevilandia area ticket is required, depending on skill level.
- For the first lesson, a first-time timer/beginner-green-level 0, a Leevilandia area ticket is required for the duration of the lesson. For the following days, either a Leevilandia area ticket or a valid ski pass is required, depending on the progress of the skill level.
- Note that the Leevilandia area ticket includes use of the Ski Bus.
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes/area tickets.
- Equipment needs to be ready / rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes) for equipment rental. Purchase the equipment hire from the webstore in advance. We recommend a standard ski set and a helmet.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
