Description
SKI TASTER – FIRST TIMERS/green (5yrs - adults)
Get a gentle introduction with Ski Taster Sessions - a great and safe way to experience first downhill skiing movements on snow and learn skiing basics from scratch alongside friends or family. Ski Taster is taking place on a flat, with easy slope areas and carpet lifts on the south slope in Leevilandia. You become familiar with your equipment and slope safety. We practice balance skills, such as falling safely and getting up independently, gliding on skis, stopping, controlling the speed, and making turns. The lesson is spoken in Finnish and English.
Ski Tasters are taught in separate age groups (5- 6 yrs, 7- 11 yrs, and +12yrs - adults), or mixed age groups depending on the number of participants.
* Each course's content and learning path is adapted to the needs and progression of the group.
* This program is suitable for a one-time visit when you come to ski for the first time. After completing this course, we recommend booking e.g. private lessons
* You'll need a Leevilandia area ticket, a standard ski set, and a helmet for the course.
* A private lesson is the best option for a shared family lesson.

A Leevilandia area ticket is needed.
Schedule:
FRI at 4 - 5.30 pm (weeks 49/2025 - 10/2026)
SAT at 4 - 5.30 pm (weeks 49/2025 - 1/2026)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, by the ski school "meeting point" flag. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
Note:
- You are responsible for having the equipment, ski pass, or area pass ready at the starting point of the lesson at the agreed time.
- An already purchased product cannot be changed or rescheduled.
- Levi Ski School has the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants. e.g., with two participants, the course is shortened to 2 days
- Please note that you need a valid ski pass or Leevilandia area ticket for ski lifts according to your skill level during the lesson time.
- For the first lesson of the first-time-green-skill level 0, you'll need a Leevilandia area ticket for the duration of the lesson.
- Note that the Leevilandia area ticket includes use of the Ski Bus.
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes/area tickets.
- Equipment needs to be ready / rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time (at least 45 minutes) for equipment rental. Purchase the equipment hire from the webstore in advance. We recommend a standard ski set and a helmet.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
