Description
SNOWBOARDING FOR FIRST TIMERS/green (8yrs-adults)
This course is a gentle introduction to the sport. We learn the basics of snowboarding and proper moves right from the beginning. Get to know your snowboard and how to handle it. Learn how to slide with the board, how to fall safely, and how to get up independently. Practicing controlling the speed and how to start making turns. The course takes place in the Leevilandia area on flat terrain and easy parts of the slopes.
The course is for adults and children from the age of 8 years. Teaching is in Finnish and English.

Practical Information
Location: South Point, South Slopes (address: Tievantie 2)
Ski School office is open daily from 9 am-5 pm at Zero Point / Front Slopes

Schedule:
TUE at 4-5.30 pm (weeks 49/2024 - 17/2025) * week 52 TUE 24.12. at 12-1.30 pm
FRI at 4-5.30 pm (weeks 49/2024 - 6/2025)
THU at 4-5.30 pm (weeks 7 - 16/2025)
Meeting point: At the bottom of the South Point 8.4 slope, on snow at the ski school skill level signs. The instructor in the blue uniform asks by name when the lesson starts.
Note:
- This program can be purchased 24 hours before the start of the course.
- Please make sure you are on time and at the right meeting place.
- For your information, we cannot promise a change of teaching place or a transfer of already purchased time.
- Levi Ski School has the right to combine groups or offer an alternative lesson and time if there are not enough participants.
- Please note that for all ski lifts and in Leevilandia you need a valid ski pass or Leevilandia area ticket. during the lesson time. This course is held in Leevilandia (an area ticket is needed)
- Ski school prices do not include equipment rental or ski passes.
- Equipment needs to be ready/rented before the lesson. Please reserve enough time for equipment rental. Rent equipment from the webstore in advance. We recommend a snowboard set and a helmet.
- Rentals are located: South Point / South Slopes and Zero Point / Front Slopes.
We follow the Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) terms of delivery of ski school services.
